The Victorian Labour Government continues to act through it's transport authorities to hide the fact that Camberwell Station is a key test case to intimidate opponents of development their policy (summarised as “develop at any cost”).
The latest plans reveal their successful strategy as “say anything when exposed in the press, then wait for a while before revealing an even more punitive overdevelopment proposal to show other communities the price of rebellion”
In the Planning Policy of the Labor Party in 1999 Mr. Bracks promised to....
give Victorians back their voice and influence over decisions that affect their lifestyles.

Planning Backlash meeting. Clocktower. Mooney Ponds
Melbourne 6 July 2008
I am most honoured to have been invited to be back in your beautiful city But I am very concerned regarding just how long it will remain beautiful. It appears that here, as in NSW there are politicians and bureaucrats who are doing their utmost to destroy our unique Australian way of life. In every society there seems to be a group of people who can be best described as dictatorial meddlers.

East-West Link Needs Assessment – Tunnel Plans for Fitzroy North
Proposed Road Tunnel – Eastern Freeway to Brunswick Street
I WISH to congratulate Craig Langdon, the member for Ivanhoe, for "seeing the light at the end of the tunnel" ("Labor MP has different tunnel vision", The Age, 19/5) and support
WE DO not pretend to understand the political machinations behind Craig Langdon's duplicity on the subject of the Yarra Flats freeway (Letters, 21/5).
